Is It Okay for the Girl to Make the First Move?

Question Posted Tuesday June 9 2009, 3:41 pm

I've been hanging out with this guy. Do guys think it's wrong for girls to make a move.. like a kiss.. first? If I know he likes me.

From a guy's perspective, it is perfectly alright.

Sometimes it's good to be old-fashioned and let the guy make the first move, but sometimes it takes the pressure off of the guy if the girl makes the first move.

Of course we are in modern times and girls sometimes do make the first move. However, if a guy really does like you, he will make the first move, shy or not shy. I have the shyest boyfriend ever but he still made the first move. On your part you have to actually give him hints, tell him, or something to let him know its ok to make a move. It's all about equalization not dominance.
Hope this helps ^_^

I don't think there's anything wrong with it. While we may think that we have a good idea when a girl is ready for a kiss, we're not always as bold with making the first move because it is so awkward going in for a kiss and getting rejected.

If he likes you, then you'll have saved him hours of weighing costs and benefits to decide whether or not to make the first move.

Why would it be wrong?

It's totally fine. It shows you're confident, and obviously that you're into the guy. Why NOT go for it!?
