Dear Advicenators, I have auburn hair with freckles, and pale skin but I do tan. I really love the way Lindsey Lohan's hair was when it was bleached. I want Christina Aguilera's hair color. How can I dye my hair this color but keep my hair healthy?
Yes, I have dyed my hair and bleached my hair before, but I think that the dye is completely washed out by now. (It was semi-permanent.)
My mom isn't a hairdresser but she does know a lot about hair and her best friend is a hairdresser so she usually gets the professional things, but I will go to a solon if you insist.
I came across on this answer on a google search:
"I would say go to sally beauty supply and buy ...
2 oz. Clairol 7th Stage Creme Hair Lightener
if you have a lot of hair buy 2 things of it.
then buy
Clairol Professional Lightening Activator .5 oz. (2 packets to put into the dye mix)
then buy 20 volume developer. (mix 2oz if using just one lightner 4oz if using 2)
Mix those 3 things together and then put some neutral protein filler into the mix ... this will help distribute the color evenly and keep your hair protected ... leave it on for like a 1/2hr or whenver you feel your hair is light enough !
Then if you have some red undertones buy a ash blonde dye and mix it with developer and protein filler and dye your hair with that ...
i went from auburn to blonde w/out using the ash dye so you might not have to use it. "
^^^^ Does that sound good? It sounded to me like she knew what she was doing.
I figure that at a solon that all they will do to me is highlight my hair heavily since that is what they did before when I asked. They fall inlove with my hair color and think I'm crazy for wanting to bleach it, but it's MY choice, not theirs.
Anyways, if I have confused you, can you just recommend a good Advicenators hairdresser to me?
Thanks in advance

and print it out and show it to the clerk at sallys beauty supply.
they dont just hire any clerk
my hair was falling out from some dye i had and the clerk helped me out finding the right stuff
they try really hard
so print out that google answer. and go to sally's and theyll help you find that stuff, or if the answer of google is wrong, theyll help you find the exact stuff to do your hair properly.
it'd also help to bring in a picture of the exact blonde you want so theyll help you find the correct volume.
and btw
u look so pretty.
