danianarae answered Thursday June 4 2009, 2:28 am: i don't know what kind of food you like, but i would suggest tofu tacos. they are so delicious! i'm not a vegetarian, but i like to be healthy sometimes;
you'll need:
- half of an onion, chop it.
- 2 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed.
- 1 bell pepper, chopped.
- 1 tb veggie oil.
- half a pound of tofu, crumbled.
- 1 Tb chili powder.
- 1/4 tb of cumin and oregano.
- 1 Tb soy sauce.
- 1/4 cup tomato sauce.
- corn tortillas (how many you want).
saute the onion, garlic, and bell peppers in the veggie oil for 2-3 mins, then add the tofu, chili powder, cumin, oregano, and soy sauce. cook that for 3 mins, then add the tomato sauce and simmer over low heat 'til the mixture is pretty much dry.
heat the tortillas in a skillet and put all your fillings in it! you can always top it with sour cream, guacamole, etc if you'd like.
