How can i talk to the life guard!

hi I have been going to this college pool for like 3 years. I take lessons there and i just go and chill when im bored...
well theres this life guard named Robert..He is near perfect and well he used to teach me how to swim.He is really nice and trys to talk to me but im just to danm shy and quiet when im around him.
I don't have a nice body and i look like a hot mess when in the water...
How can i become friends with him and the other life guards without trying to hard to get their attention..They are all like 19 and i really want to have something with Robert..if not a realationship..i would love a friend ship.
How can i talk to him. How can i invite him to hang out with me outside the pool.
What are some cool lines for me to tell him. So i can like text him.. I dont want anything simple like."hey can i have your number" and please dont say just go for it because..if i could it would already have been done..How can i talk to him

I went to the pool on wensday and he said hi to my sister but i kept walking because he got me nervous... He ended up saying hi to me before we left..but it was just a wave..oh gosh..I LOVE HIM

I'm a very shy person. Usually if I wanted to get someone's attention or if I wanted them to go with me somewhere.
I'd ask the person if they'd like to go [to a gym, park, restaurant, something of that sort] because I really want to go/haven't been there before, everyone else is too busy and was wondering if they could come along because I don't want to go alone.
Then, I'd get the phone number so we could figure out when to go exactly or in case one of us had to cancel at the last minute.
It's kinda how I pulled in my boyfriend. I never really talked to him or even saw him that often. I was afraid of saying something stupid. But then one day I was bored and I asked if he wanted to come to my house so he could watch me play video games. After that, he came to see me more often and now he's mine >:D

You need to get comfertable around him first, BEFORE you can ask him to hang out. Ask your sister to start a conversation with him and include you. Then when he says hi, Say HEY!! Say HI!!, SAY SOMETHING!!!!! haha, honestly, its just a guy, be confident. Also, look into getting a job there, then you can hang out with all the lifegaurds. I know you said your a mess in the water, is that implying you can't swim? Well if you can swim, then ask for a job, ask him if its hard to be a lifeguard. I don't really know any 'cool' lines to ask for their phone numbers, but I just though I should tell you the first part!
