I was recently started on Yaz birth control about a month ago. I did not have bad acne, an occasion pimple every now and then. After being put on the pill, my face is excessively oily and breaking out often. I thought the pill cleared up acne. Should I expect this to just calm down eventually?
All birth controls for the first few months are horrible. Your hormones are shifting around to get used to the pill. Some medications will make symptoms worse in order to reduce the symptoms.
Give it a few months. Like the previous columnist said, if it persists or gets worse, see the Doctor whom prescribed it to you and can change your birth control method that is also known to help acne.

Its suppose to help with this stuff and after the first month or 2 it did. Right now your horomones are going crazy trying to figure out whats happening right now in your body. Wait a couple months and if it doesnt clear up you can always switch your birth control method. [ GwinnCheer2006's advice column | Ask GwinnCheer2006 A Question ]
