Hey,
I am 16f. So,theres this guy i know, but he is totally a shy guy (about a year older)..he only lives 10 minutes driving from where I do,and is very sweet.I met him in person once,but it was at my workplace and I was busy at the moment when he came in,so we were not able to talk in person..just seen eachother and had a passing glance..(hes cute).We have had eachothers cell numbers previous to this day and had been texting non-stop constantly.I know everything about him and he knows basically everything about me.We get along very well and text eachother fairly often :) But,he is way to shy to come see me,and I am not sure where he works or if he feels anything towards me.He told me he had a girlfriend once,and it turned out he was just sorta lying and i am not sure if it was just to make me jealous ;) and then just the other day, I had written 'soulmate' as my signature on my cell and right away he asked 'what is up with your signature?'. I told him it is a song, because it is.And i do not have a different guy on my mind AT ALL.. but I don't know what he is thinking now,if he believes me that it is a song,or even if he was jealous that I may be seeing someone else..?
How can you tell if someone truly likes you from a text message? I really like him, but i cannot tell if he is truly meaning what he hints.. ;) and how can you get a shy guy to meet you somewhere just to hang out? I at least want a convo face to face, you know.. but hes just too shy :p

Darby answered Tuesday May 5 2009, 12:22 am: It sounds like this guy likes you. The only way you'll be certain though is if you ask him. If it turns out he does like you, try to plan an outing. Maybe get one of your friends and one of his friends to come along. That way it will be like a double date and there won't be too much first date awkwardness. You will be able to get to know each other without having so much pressure to keep up the conversation. I agree with the person below me that bowling would be good. You could also go skating if you have a skating rink nearby. That way you could 'accidentally' have to hold onto his arms to keep your balance (;

Ask him to go out with you somewhere, like bowling or a movie. Somewhere where you two can talk in person without things getting awkward for him. Bowling would be great because you'd be doing something fun to keep from the awkward silence thing, & you can have a casual conversation at the same time.
