boy issues..

Question Posted Sunday May 3 2009, 6:09 pm

me and my boyfriend broke up about a week ago and as shallow as this sounds, i'm positive that i won't be able to get over him unless i meet someone else, someone better. my ex is like my best friend now and i want it to stay that way but i need that love connection with someone and i know there are better guys out there. so i need to know where to meet a great guy and that will show me that love really does exist. any ideas? 17/f.

First, you need to know that you don't have to be with someone all the time to be happy. It's okay to be single for a while and just hang out with your friends. Don't be so dependent on relationships. In life you have to learn to be independent at times.

Now, the best place to meet a guy is somewhere that will show compatible interests. Your favorite band's concert is a great place to meet a guy because music is a strong similar interest. If you like to read, try meeting someone at your local library. If you like coffee and conversation, meet someone at your local cafe. Malls are good places to meet guys as well as bowling alleys, skating rinks, and golf courses.

Hope this helps!

Okay.

Well it sounds like you've been so used to being in a relationship, that it's difficult to have someone around. That's okay. Just get out, and meet new people. Hang with the girlfriends.

A.K.
