recording music at home 15/f
ive recently picked up an acoustic guitar and started writing songs.
i dont have a manager or an agent or anything, but i was wondering if there was any software that i could buy to record music in my home on my own computer.
also, ways to put myself out there.
you know, how to find a manager or an agent, record a CD, how to find places to play at, etc.
please help!
thanks!

Hey iv been doing what your trying for the past 9 years, download a FREE program called Audacity its a mutli track recording program so you can record what ever tune you like through it then play it back while recording the next part to it.
i have a cheap microphone from asda (walmart to you if your american) heres my youtube channel if you'd like to look see.

i have many music related videos, if you'd like to ask me any more questions youtube me with a video and send it to me and ill video reply back or sotmhing about how my rig works and then i can help you out with your home recroding studio without spending out huuuge amounts of money. i spent probably at most 40 pounds for everything i use. (not including the 4 instruments i play lol)
but yeah deffinatly send me a message on youtube and i'll show you how my computers turned into a recording system because i havent made a video on that yet, and knowing somebody will want to see it for thier own purpose will motivate me more to make one :P ]
There could be software online to download that would help you record.
You can also check music stores like Guitar Center or even Best Buy in their Computer Software section.
In order to promote yourself and get your name out, you can use MySpace, Facebook & Youtube. I've seen a ton of teenagers on YouTube promoting their singing through videos.
I hope this helps you some. ]
