How safe is the miata and what are some of your experiences with such a car? Im considering buying one...

You should buy a copy of a book called Lemon Aid. They have it for new and used cars. In it it will tell you the safety record, mechanical problems, recalls, hidden warranties and common repairs that model has.

The info dates from the present all the way back to the introduction of the Miata. I've never driven one but that's where I would start researching. Consumer Reports also puts out a book where they crash test everything.
