i have a 1997 mustang. i'm looking to get two subs to go in my trunk, probably either 8s or 10s, because 12s wont fit [we've tried]. i dont know what kind to get though. i dont wanna go to like best buy and ask because they'll try to get me to buy the most expensive ones, and i'm a girl so they'll automatically assume i'm not car-savvy, which i'm not really ha. so what's a good system? i want it to sound good, but i dont need anything over the top, and i'll probably be buying second-hand from ebay to save some money. any tips here?

Hi. First of all your goin to need a radio that has amp outputs and if u want a good system get jvc radio. Get a 1200 Watt Pioneer or alpine Pioneer and alpine are the best for speakers and amps. (Alpines are top of line for a alpine 200 watt amp its 160 dollars for a 1200 wat pioneer its 272) so get pioneer amp and alpine speakers or get pioneers to.

I got my boyfriend to help me with this one. He said the best ones he know of are JL Audio, W3 or W7 series, 10 inch for better bass, enclosed box with no portholes. He said Jensens are pretty good, but they stopped making them so you'll have to look on Ebay. He says Lightning Audio's pretty good, too. Good sound & affordable, & you can usually find them at Wal-Mart. He said don't buy the Sony brand because they can burn easily.
