CURLING HAIR WITH FLAT IRON

OMG so my curler broke, and i really need my hair curled, but i want to do it myself, so how do you curl your hair with a flat iron? i youtubed it and wikihow.com but it just didnt work out as well as id hoped...actually it sucked. and it was terrible, like i had to shower to actually make my hair presentable. I need a step by step explanation and really detailed. thanks!

Make sure you have a pure ceramic flat iron when doing this, and make sure the plates are small-other wise it may not work to well. Also make sure your flat iron is very very hot. If its not hot enough, it will not curl. Here are some good ones. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

You will be able to tell when you start. First grab small pieces of hair. Clamp the plates at the top of the pieces, hold the iron straight up, and turn the iron half way around the hair and go down on the hair. This should curl. Make sure you have a good flat iron though.
