outfit for prom
15/f/uk, my prom is in a few weeks. I wanted a silver dress but couldn't find one and have a black one at the moment. If I keep the black dress, I'll need to customise it a bit and really accessorize to make it more interesting. I'm keen on the idea of red heels, and my dress will be quite short.
Can you think of different looks to go with a black dress, such as how to customise the dress, how to do my hair and makeup, what colour to paint my nails, what kind of tights, shoes, jewellery, hair accessories etc.?

if youre going to have red heels, and im assuming bright red like a fire truck? i'd do something red my lips. maybe for your eyes you can do a smokey eye, but do it lightly. for your hair maybe get some red rhinestoned bobby pins, a red silk flower, or do some kind of braids with a red bow braided into it. for jewlery you can get some fake pearls, or anything sparkley. tights can be sheer or black. and your nails can be red, french tipped, or black.
if you want to customize the dress you can maybe get a big belt to wear, put on some sequins, or sew on satin around the waist.
