Vivienne answered Sunday April 12 2009, 10:52 am: you should really just set up an appointment. its really difficult/painful to attempt to do your own bikini wax, especially if its your first time. your mom doesnt have to know, just find a nice, reasonable place in your area and walk/take the bus/ get someone to drive you/drive yourself there. tell your mom you went to lunch with a friend or something. if you still insist on doing it yourself, use hot wax (the kind you heat in the microwave) and start the strips about 1 inch out from the side of your pubic bone, and work inwards as needed. for the top of the bikini line, take off 1/2 to 1 inch of hair. do not even try to do your labia, because you will probably rip your own vagina off. also, get some aloe vera gel to rub on afterwards, this will reduce redness and inflammation .

- try it out on a small area first to smake sure that you dont have an allergic reaction, on that specific part.
- put the wax on in the same direction as the hair growth, but rip the strip off against the hair growth.
-put on some cooling lotion after, so it doesnt get all red and that
