Question Posted Friday March 13 2009, 5:18 pm

How do you know what a guy's motives are? Like how do you differentiate between just a crush, a guy that is head over heels for a girl, or a guy that is just trying to get into their pants? I rate high for well-thought out answers. =]

To be honest with you, this may not help your situation much but its how i perceive it all.. I dont believe there is a set way to figure out what a guys motives are..

Me being a guy myself, i can honestly say that ive learnt how to be sneaky and sly and how to lie to get what i want.. With some people its obvious and a dead give away as they are genuine people.. However, there are some people which are sneaky and sly and will do and say anything to get what they want from someone. To some extent, ive done this myself and ive never been caught.

The only kind of advice i can give you is to learn what the person is like.. Learn a lot about them. Read into things such as body language and learn signs to tell when a person lies.

To me i believe there is no set way to tell what a guys motives are by what he does or what he says. Every person is different and some will be better liars than others. At the end of the day it will all come down to how much you trust the guy if your question is referring to getting into a relationship..

Hope i somewhat helped
Best of luck

Its all about the little things and it's taken me years to figure this out. The little things they say or do.

Example: Girl asks guy "What do you like about me?" (I've done this with about 4 different guys)
Crush says-"You're a cool person and you're cute too"
Head over heels guy says-"I love when I look into your eyes and I feel that I can really connect with you"
Bang&Bail guy says-"You're beautiful and have an amazing body"

A crush isn't going to be really bold, he's just looking for the simple, sweet things to say. The guy who's head over heels is willing to expose himself (emotionally) and let you see and hear what he's really feeling.

The boy toy will pretty much always complement you on something physical which is how girls get trapped because once a guy says we're beautiful we automatically get a little sweet spot for them....because who doesn't like complements?

You can tell by the physical actions to. The player guy will probably always have his hands on your waist or hips, the crush might hold your hand or put his hand on the small of your back and the head over heels guy (from my experience) wants full body contact. My guy stands extra close to me so that my side all the way from my shoulder to my ankle is touching his side and if we're laying down he wants me as close as possible.

Hope that helped.
