Cutting

Question Posted Saturday March 7 2009, 8:03 pm

I've talked to to many counslers to count, I refuse to talk to my friends family or my counsler/princple at school. I'll end up getting kicked out. I have too many dreams to get kicked out. I talk to this one teacher who says she knows I do stupid things, but she has to report me if she knows i for sure cut. So who can i talk to? I've tried everything to replace cutting- it'll work once then i can't hold on any longer. Its now a habit. Please help.

Thanks for inboxing.

First of all: you won't get kicked out of school for cutting. What would the school kick you out for? They CAN'T do that. You NEED to tell somebody, and you NEED to get help.

The first people I think you should tell are your parents. Don't tell your friends, because they won't know how to handle it. Don't tell your counselor/principal, because they'll only end up telling your parents anyways.

Have you talked to your doctor? If you go to the emergency room and tell them you need help, they will get you somebody to talk to. That should be your next step, getting real, professional help after telling your parents.

Telling your parents will make you feel a lot better, and having some support will also help.

Best of luck getting help.
