Spin Class

Question Posted Friday March 6 2009, 9:45 pm

I don't have the money for a HRM but I want to know how many calories I burn in an hour-long spin class. In the classes I go to, we always have resistance on, either going really fast, or standing up at a high resistance and jogging. I'm 135 pounds. Can anyone help me out with this?

What I can suggest is for you to go to Bluesuitmom.com and click on the health option. Once you are there there will be a box to the right hand side that says daily stops, click on exercise calculator. That should tell you approximately how many calories you burn doing so many different activities, and it calculates based on how long you do it and what your weight is. There is a spinning option and when I put your info in it it said that you burn 429.29999999999995 calories an hour.
