Question Posted Wednesday February 25 2009, 9:25 pm
I was dating this guy for a year we met at collage and we got on so well and we were really close. About a month ago he dumped me he said he couldnt go out with me as me being mixed raced confuses things to much and when it comes to having a proper relationship he would rater stick to his own race and date a white girl. And I dont understand as we dated for a year and we never even spoke about race and I really love him. Should I confront him or not? thanx Sophie

but there are a few possibilities:
one, he might just not be comfortable with someone outside of his race and he never wanted to say it before. i dont really see why this would be a problem. but if this is the case you should really talk to him about it. theres no reason for him to go out with you for a year than dump you cause you arent white.
two, maybe he wanted an excuse to break up with you. even though its not likely maybe thats the case.
three, maybe it had somethin to do with his parents or his friends. guys are stupid like that, they like to impress their friends over their girl anyday. it sucks i know
but you really cant know unless YOU talk to him. tell him how much he means to you and that you want to be with him. make it professional though and dont crawl back. just tell him how fucked up the situation is.
write back to me when you have more info! ill be glad to help anytime :) goodluck babe
