Gyno 15/f
Hello. My boyfriend and I have been dating for 9 months and we do fool around (hand job, blow job, fingering) but I refuse to have sex at such a young age. Even though he's 18, he agrees me for my own good :) We're both virgins by the way. But, that's not what I need to talk about, I just thought I would give some background information. When is an appropriate time to start going to the gyno? A lot of girls my age already go to one. Do you think I should start talking to my mom about it?

First off, the blatant statement "I am not sexually active, nor am I planning to be" will disarm most things your parents might protest about.
Second, you can throw out some good reasons.
1) You want to get on birth control now, so that you can get used to it, its affects on your body, and so that you are protected no matter what might happen in the future.
2) You want to go to a gyno so that you can likewise get used to this being a part of your life
3) You want to educate yourself about things you would learn from a gyno. You want to be able to ask him questions that come up that you wouldn't be comfortable asking your mom and that you want correct information on.
These three reasons usually work pretty well, and you can mention as well that alot of girls you know go to a gyno, and that you think its just a good all around idea for establishing habits of keeping yourself informed and safe. ]
You should definetly talk to your mom about it, Tell her your not sexual active yet but you know about cervical cancers and other types of HPV's and you just want to be safe. I know how open u r w her.I think you should definetly talk to her about it. She should trust you more knowing that you are being honest and open with her.....I know I will when my daughter hopefuuly comes to me. ]
Yes, once you become sexually active you need to start seeing the gyno. And yes, oral sex and fingering is part of sex and it can cause you issues. So, do yourself a favor and get in the stirrups! :) An ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure. Good luck! ]
