Sex for the first time

Question Posted Wednesday February 18 2009, 3:39 pm

I am 15f, my boyfriend is 16m.
I am a virgin and he isn't.
I promised myself I would wait until i was 16, and my birthday is next month. i am ready to have sex but i am obviously nervous... naturaly.

My periods are not on a perfect scheduale yet, they can come every month for like 2 or 3 months, then not come again for 1 or 2 months. I have had my period for over 2 years now. This is the only thing i feel is holding me back for when i turn 16. What if i get pregnant.. i feel like i wont know right away. Please tell me if this is a huge issue or not.. i have gone to the gyno and talked to them and they said just to track it and that it is okay for now.... but i am just not sure about sex with it like that.

sometimes moms arent so key on putting their daughters on birth control so just keep track and on your period and dont have sex 14 days after your period when you get it, that is your ovulation time, it when you egg searches for a sperm. if you are going to have sex tell him to a condom on right away bc then pre-cum can still get you pregnant. condoms are key :) so is keeping track of your period :) if you can then get the morning after pill to make sure if any sperm is left over is sterile. oh and tell him to pull out with he is about to cum.
sorry if this freaks you out, but sex is sex and thats what it it about. be safe :)

Yes not knowing when your period is comming could be nerve raking. Have you considered going on birth contol? Not only will it regulate your period it will prevent pregnancy.
Hope this helps!

Its okay to be nervous. Ask your doctor about birth control. It can help regulate your periods and keep you protected once your ready to be sexually active.

Wow. Your fifteen and ready to have sex?
I think if he's pressuring you, Dump him.
But if it's you, Hun, Why would you want to?
It's called hormones.
Sex is a very emotional, beautiful thing.
It's meant for marriage. But, There IS a good chance you can get pregnant. Think about it. If you were to have a baby at 16?
Could you support it?
This is a really big deal.
Talk to someone your comfortable with.
An adult or parent.
This is really not good.
You know i've thought about sex before.
BUt i became a christian and made a promise to wait till marriage.
Maybe you should do the same.
SERIOUSLY, I"m trying to save your life.
You'll hae sex and everything will be fine for a week or so then you'll break up.
It's how it always ends...
I vote, DOn't do it.
But i'll be praying you make the right decision.
Sincerely, Emma
