15/f
So I'm 15 but I'm sure I look younger. I really would like some tips on how to make myself look older. I don't mean in order to get into clubs and stuff (so I don't necessarily need loads of answers telling me how to dress up etc.), I mean just generally.
So, I'll tell you what I look like.
*I'm really short, about 5'2 I think, which is a big factor to why I look younger. Everyone I hang around with is a lot taller than me, which doesn't help.
*I'm a size 6/8, but I'm not a really skinny girl - I have very big boobs and big hips, and a small waist.
*I have pale skin.
*My hair is just below shoulder-length, straight, dark brown (although naturally it's lighter), with a lot of layers, short and long, and a side fringe.
*I have big blue-green eyes, average-sized nose, a small mouth, high cheekbones and a square-shaped face.
*I wear a normal amount of makeup.
*My style is quite indie rock, that kind of thing.
So any tips on how to make myself look older, with makeup, hair, clothes, anything...?
Also, how can I act more mature? What are some do's and don'ts on appearing mature?
-So, first, you might want to wash your face, just incase you have any lefover junk from the night before.
-Second, take black, or brown eyeliner. Take the bottem lid and lightly put it on there and onto your top lid. You do that but lifting your eyelashes and keeping your eye open. It's hard, but it works.
-Third, if you want to, take green, or black eyeshadow. Very lightly, and carefully put a dab and rub it in until your satisfied.
-Fourth, mascara, hello new obsession. If you want to make them big, keep layering on the gunk, but my advice is to make them lighter, that way, it's easier to get it off, and also, make up is only to enhance beauty, not you make you look like a friggn barbie. :)
-Fith is foundation, only if you want. But, if you have blemishes, I suggest not. Only becuase, it make them worse, from all the dirt, and they pop out more. But, if you don't, liquid foudation is comlicated, so I'd get the powder. Lightly take a blush brush, and dab it onto the foundation, then dab it on your face in 5 places, forhead, nose, cheek, cheek, and chin. dab the bursh so the extra comes off. Then, rub it on with the bursh, &presto! :)
Now, your clothes is kinda hard. I'm a hippie, so I know what your talking about, with the indie rock thing. Maybe instead of converse or sneaks all the time, get some heels, like 3/4inches? Wear them with a cute tee, and skinny jeans. It gets my 20year old, 5'1 sister into clubs all the time:)
So, you hair is simple, I love short dark hair, espically with light eyes, I'm a sucker for that on guys:) So, take a straightener, and curl it under. It rounds your face out and makes it pop. If you have side bangs, think about getting straight across, it's cute, and it will go with the cut. Side bangs can just be straightned and swepted to the side. Straight across' need to be curled under along with the longer hair. Spray it and wala, your done, and you look hot:)
laynemayhem answered Wednesday February 18 2009, 4:22 pm: you sound 15 to me. but if you want to look a bit older, here are some makeup tips:
take some black eye liner. LIGHTLY put it on your bottom lid. do it in a really thin lining, including the piece of skin between your lid and your eyeball itself. now take some liquid eye liner and put a normal ammount on your top lid. with blue-green eyes, get some light green eye shadow and lightly put some on. not WHOA but just a light dab. you can use some mascara if you feel thats necessary.
lipstick is kind of iffy for this age, especially if you're kissing a boy, so to be fair, but subtle, use some clear lipgloss, just to make your lips pop.
i cant tell you what to do about your clothes...since i dont really know what an indie rock style is. O.O but just dress in whats comfortable to you. maybe get some heels or something to make your legs look longer. two/three inch would be good, if you're into that.
if you feel the makeup thing is too much, dont do it. like i said, do whats comfortable to you. i dont wear any foundation or blush, so i cant tell you how to put that on. :)

If you have a good posture, look confident (but not overly as in ''I'm a sex goddess, everyone love me!'' and you speak with good language, you will already seem older.
If you swear a lot, speak in a lot of slang or whatever and grouch, then you will look younger.
As for appearance, wear clothes that fit you very well, so no baggy hoodies and band shirts or scruffy, drawn-on converse. Also wearing a lot of luminous colors can make you look younger. (I'm not saying this is you, but it's an example :) ) as for make up, subtle but elegant will make you look a bit older, if you slap it all on, you will look younger.
I don't know if you do, but sometimes it helps to vary how you wear your hair. Sometimes you could scrunch it, or wear it up etc.
I have a friend who's 17, a year older than me, she wears a lot of luminous t-shirts, scruffy black skinny jeans and also ripped vans, with a lot of eyeliner. She swears all the time and she's impolite...she can't get a drink at a bar without ID...
