Mouse...?!

Question Posted Wednesday February 11 2009, 10:42 pm

There's a mouse SOMEWHERE in my apartment. I have a cat, but I have the distinct feeling that she wouldn't do anything about the little squeaker if it walked past her face (I could be wrong...but yeah). I have no mouse traps, and have basically no money to spend. I could call maintenance, but it's 10pm, so I'm gonna have to sleep here with it...
What do I do about this?
HELP!!

First of all... RELAX! It is just a mouse. It is not going to get any where near you, bite you, or anything like that. They try to avoid people, they usually only come out at night to find food. Easiest way to kill it would be some poison, but you need to keep your cat away from it. Put out some traps too. If you wanna be humane, you could call animal control and they will come put some live traps most likely.

I used to have mice living in my house too, and I didn't have just one I had like 5 or 6.. If I were you i would get a mouse trap as soon as possible! most likely if you have one theres more somewhere else and then they begin to multiply.
and they keep multiplying and keep multiplying if you don't do anything about it.
and then when they begin to die they have this nasty rotten smell that will stink up your whole house/apartment, and the smell then forms maggets
which isn't pretty at all to see or smell lol.
I wouldn't trust your cat either, Cats usually don't do anything..
And mice can be pretty fast, usually cats are too lazy to get up and chase after it lol. well atleast my cats are.
it was hard enough getting rid of all the mice with the mice traps.
well I hope my advice helps.
and I hope the best of luck to you!
