art project

Question Posted Wednesday February 4 2009, 3:10 pm

for my art project i have to design a tattoo sleeve. like, draw an arm and draw it on. i've decided to go with a japanese theme. not anime or whatever, like japanese, zen themed stuff. so far i have the symbols for peace love and happiness, an umbrella(which i'm gonna make along with clouds and rain falling onto it), and cherry blossoms. i need to turn it into like a collage, to fill a whole arm.. so any ideas?

when i think of japanese (and chinese) things i instantly think of dragons, symbols(the chinese and japanese letters) and fish. Those would make an awesome tattoo, especially the dragon! i also think of colors like red and gold. it soudns like a really fun project! maybe you could work off of that stuff? i'd do whatever reminds me of japan-an interpretation with your own swing on it ;D

good luck,hopefully i helped!
