OMG, I seriouslly wanna form a rock band but none of my friends wanna be in a rock band. I had a friend who wanted to form one with me but that's a different story. Anyway can anyone give me advice on how to form a rock band w/ these problems here? I really wanna form a band and I'm thinkin since I'm gonna be in high school next year I should start this now. Any advice?
anyways put up notices on message boards like in music rooms or in social area's like playgrounds or lunch halls. put up an email address for some one to answer too or put a pic of yourself up on the poster and ask people to find you, i tried that a couple of years ago. it didnt work out so well for me... though i did get a freind out of it we play guitar together when ever we get the chance and w help eachother on styles and playing different songs we've heard. anyways hope its given you some ideas. if you see some one you think would be good in you band (say you see some one in a music room playing a keyboard) then go try talk to them or somthing
Hitoast answered Wednesday February 4 2009, 1:08 am: My advice isn't what you want to here. Actually, you'll probably hate it. But here it is anyway: don't form one now. With highschool coming up, this is just another commitment to add to your plate and highschool is a lot of work. Plus you have to find people who actually have known musical ability and actually have the ammount of guts it takes to play in front of a band. I know how you feel, I wanted to form a band then too. I thought it would be cool and one of my friends was in on it too. We couldn't find anyone we knew that wanted to be in it and had the talent and my grades suffered terribly, all for nothing because we never got started. And if you're in it to get famous, the chances of that happening are about one in a million, maybe less. Especially at your age. So, sorry to be johnny raincloud over here, but trust me when I say it won't work out. Been there, failed that. Sorry dude.
