How do you deal with a narcissitic boyfriend/girlfriend?

Question Posted Monday February 2 2009, 11:42 am

What can you do to have a successful relationship with a narcissist? Is it possible for them to change? How do you differentiate between someone who is arrogant and one who is a narcissist? ANY information regarding the subject would be much appreciated. Thank you very much.

arrogance is knowing that you're hot shit
narcissism is being in love with onesself
narcissists are not worth your time. they've already found the love of their life, and its not you. people take a long time to change, so unless they're worth it, don't waste your time.

Arrogance is being self-centered but in just an annoying cocky way. Someone that is a narcissist cannot show empathy. It is someone that is so self-centered and so that they actually cant show love to others. There's many other factors to it..many have very high expectations of everything from love and beauty to power and success.

And honestly, I'm not sure about your relationship. I believe it is possible for some people to change but it's a hard thing to do. And I know that I wouldn't be able to be in a relationship with someone like that. Narcissism isn't very healthy and people who are genuiely narcissist probably don't know they are but I'll bet that they are not truly completely happy with themselves.
