my phone PUK??
our power recently went out for a week..we just got it back today.
last night, while i was waiting for it to come on..i started messing with the setting's on my phone. and i started to play with the little lock codes..i tried to set one up, but when i did, it said that it was locked..and then it wouldnt let me do anything. it said that the " PUK " was locked..and it would only let me make emergency calls. so i thought that if i took the sim card and the battery out..and then put them back in, then my phone would work again..well it didnt.
now it say's " insert smart chip"
i have the sim card..the battery..everything in it..and where it's suppost to go. does anyone know how to get my phone back to normal..? i'm charging it right now..so would that help..?

Basically, you need to insert your sim card again, and when it asks for the PUK code, ring your service provider e.g o2, orange, tmobile, or whoever your sim is connected to, and ask them for the puk code, it may even just give you an option and tell you the PUK code without talking to a real person. I have done this with my phone and it worked instantly.
