Question Posted Thursday January 29 2009, 10:27 pm
I've got a very off period, and I was just curious does sex/masturbation have the ability to postpone a period in any way? If anyone has a clue, please let me know. I'm very curious.

Sex, however, can cause pregnancy, which as most of us know leads to an absence of a period. Other than that, I really don't think either can postpone a period. Stress and changes in your diet can definitely make your period go wacky. I do have some advice for the irregularity of your period, though. Talk to your doctor about going on the birth control pill. When I was younger, I used to have very irregular periods...sometimes twice a month! My mom and doctor suggested I start taking the pill and it really has changed my life. I know EXACTLY when I'm going to get my period every month. Plus, I can't get pregnant. It's wonderful! Hope I helped!
