soupforthesoul answered Thursday January 29 2009, 5:47 pm: I can't be sure but being overwhelmed is when you are too stressed out to pretty much do anything but worry. Then again there is the happy one when you are so overwhelmed with joy or happiness that you can't focus on anything but that or when it will happen. Stressed out just means you are really frustated or concearned by things. But i am not a doctor so if i am not correct do get mad at me please. Hope i helped,

Being stressed just means your really frusterated and have too much to handle all at once. Being overwhelmed just means you are come by or overcome by something, which could be happiness or joy or sadness or anger. (usually being overwhelmed is sudden, and refers to in the spur of the moment, as aposed to stressed which is usually meaning a long period of time.)
