Question Posted Wednesday January 28 2009, 11:06 pm

so im thinking of getting straight-across bangs. right now i have side bangs, but i want a change. but im kinda scared because :

1. are they easy to take care of?
2. what if i want to have side bangs for a day? will they look weird since its a different cut?
3. if i have thin-ish bangs, will they always seperate and show my big forehead?

please let me know your thoughts and personal experriences ASAP! i think im gonna get my hair cut tomorrow (thursday)

I have straight-thin bangs and they are easy to take care of. the only problem with having side bangs an than going to straight they are still going to wanna go to the side. after a while they will go to normal. They might make your forehead alittle oily.

1. It's not that much harder than having side bangs. I style mine with a straightener and it takes a few seconds. The only problem is that they usually have to stay striaghtened, like if you wear your hair curly one day your bangs still have to be straightened, or pinned back.

2. Cut them at a slight angle. Have them shortest at the center, and a bit longer on the sides. It looks less severe than actual straight-across bangs and it's almost the same style (and easier to manipulate, since you can part them to the side too)

3. After a few days of being styled, your bangs will start to fall that way. It's about the same as parting your hair in a different spot.

From personal experience I can say that bangs are an easy way to change your look. And the best part is that they'll grow out pretty quickly, so if you don't like them you can get rid of them relatively fast (as opposed to, say, cutting your hair a foot shorter and dyeing it green)
