I've been wearing my contacts a lot lately and i dont usually take them out before i go to sleep. now i'm just starting to notice these red veins appearing in the white area of my eye(sorry, i dont know the technical term for it) i know its normal to have just a few but i have a lot. my eyes always look bloodshot when i leave them in longer than a week.
(i know, i know, i shouldnt be leaving them in at night and im trying to improve that my making it a daily habit.)
also, ive noticed when i give my eyes a break from the contacts, some of the lines/veins disappear. but not all of them.
i would like to know if there is any way to make these veins go away or if they are permanent.
thanks a lot :)
xokristabelle answered Tuesday January 20 2009, 3:08 pm: Really, really don't do that. It's bad for your contacts, can make them tear (which is incredibly painful), and you can get infections and pinkeye. You should really try to never leave them in even overnight, leaving them in for a week is really, really bad.
It's probably just your eyes being dry, but if it continues or you wake up with a lot of mucus around your eyes (gross, i know) then you could have pinkeye and you need to see a doctor. [ xokristabelle's advice column | Ask xokristabelle A Question ]
