Optionally, you can use Windows Movie Maker to edit the video. This program comes with every recent home version of Windows, and is usually located in Start -> all programs or Start -> all programs -> accessories. If it's not in your start menu, you can run it by running this file:
C:program filesMovie MakerMOVIEMK.exe
To save the Movie Maker file in a format that Youtube likes, go to File -> Save Movie File (XP) or File -> Publish Movie (Vista). Saving through File -> Save (XP) or File -> Save Project (Vista) will not work.
If the file created by your webcam is too big for Youtube, run it through Movie Maker without editing it. Movie Maker will make the file smaller when you save it. [ theymos's advice column | Ask theymos A Question ]
