what did oscar wilde mean when he said, "life is never fair, and perhaps it is a good thing for most of us that it is not"? why wouldn't we want life to be fair?
kristamikele answered Saturday January 10 2009, 3:49 pm: For a person who has never said a mean word, or never uttered one teeny lie, I guess it would be great if life were fair because they would get what they deserve. But most people do mean things once in a while. Sometimes we hurt other people's feelings even if we don't mean to, lie, or even wish another person would just drop off the face of the Earth. This is what Wilde is talking about. [ kristamikele's advice column | Ask kristamikele A Question ]
