NYC hotels

Question Posted Friday January 9 2009, 9:23 pm

Two friends and I will be going to New York this summer for about a month but I'm having some trouble finding a place to stay. We're looking to stay as close to Tompkins Square Park as possible for the least amount of money possible. I've explored several websites but I'd really like some personal opinions and suggestions. Any feedback at all would be greatly appreciated!

As you know, staying in new york city is expensive. If you are on a very tight budget, staying 10 min out of the city would cut costs greatly. Try this website if you want cheap stays inside the city. The commercials arent lying, it really is great! hotelPackageWizard@searchHotelOnly&packageType=HOTEL_ONLY&hotelPackageWizard_hotelPackageWizardControl_inpPackageType=HOTEL_ONLY&hotelPackageWizard_hotelPackageWizardControl_hotelWidgetControl_hotelSearchRegionControl_hotelRegionTypeControl_inpRegionType=CITY&hotelPackageWizard_hotelPackageWizardControl_hotelWidgetControl_hotelSearchRegionControl_cityControl_inpCity=New+York%2C+NY&hotelPackageWizard_hotelPackageWizardControl_hotelWidgetControl_hotelSearchRegionControl_cityControl_inpCityRegionId=178293&hotelPackageWizard_hotelPackageWizardControl_hotelWidgetControl_roomInputWidget_hotelRoomCountInput=1&hotelPackageWizard_hotelPackageWizardControl_hotelWidgetControl_roomInputWidget_adultCountInput=2&hotelPackageWizard_hotelPackageWizardControl_hotelWidgetControl_roomInputWidget_childCountInput=0&isAdditionOptionExist=0&eapid=13172&semcid=13172-1&kword=new%20york%20city%20hotels!e;2541659567" target="_blank" target="_new" title="http://www.expedia.com/Hotels?action=hotelPackageWizard@searchHotelOnly&packageType=HOTEL_ONLY&hotelPackageWizard_hotelPackageWizardControl_inpPackageType=HOTEL_ONLY&hotelPackageWizard_hotelPackageWizardControl_hotelWidgetControl_hotelSearchRegionControl_hotelRegionTypeControl_inpRegionType=CITY&hotelPackageWizard_hotelPackageWizardControl_hotelWidgetControl_hotelSearchRegionControl_cityControl_inpCity=New+York%2C+NY&hotelPackageWizard_hotelPackageWizardControl_hotelWidgetControl_hotelSearchRegionControl_cityControl_inpCityRegionId=178293&hotelPackageWizard_hotelPackageWizardControl_hotelWidgetControl_roomInputWidget_hotelRoomCountInput=1&hotelPackageWizard_hotelPackageWizardControl_hotelWidgetControl_roomInputWidget_adultCountInput=2&hotelPackageWizard_hotelPackageWizardControl_hotelWidgetControl_roomInputWidget_childCountInput=0&isAdditionOptionExist=0&eapid=13172&semcid=13172-1&kword=new%20york%20city%20hotels!e;2541659567" rel="nofollow">[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
