boyfriends mom

Question Posted Monday December 15 2008, 9:25 pm

My boyfriend and I have been dating for over a year now and I was wondering if I should get his mom something for Christmas. I'm not really that close to her but I would like to be. She's very nice and welcoming (I'm always at their house) but she doesn't really talk to me all that much. Just your usually Hi, how are you. That kind of makes me timid about trying to talk to her because I'm not sure if she "approves" of me for her son. I was thinking that a gift would hopefully help change that. If i get her something, what should it be?

I'm sure that she would love a picture frame or a candle. If you get her something for her home, I think that would really impress her. You could even go with a Bath and Body Works gift set.

I am getting a present for my boyfriend's whole family because I am close with all of them, but definitely get his mother a present if you want to score points with her. My boyfriend's family loves to do puzzles together, so I asked his younger brother to secretly send me a family photo and I am ordering a puzzle of it off of snapfish.com. You might want to check out that site because most mothers are proud of their family and any gift that has to do with them would be really nice and there are a lot of different gifts you can get using pictures on that site.

You could always go with the traditional flowers or even a dessert you made. Anything to show her you thought of her I'm sure she would appreciate.

Jewlary is always a go. Or candles. Maybe find out a band she likes but doesn't have the cd. things like that. I also think it is a great idea.
