Question Posted Saturday November 29 2008, 8:31 pm

when your school or colleges look at volunteering, does key club volunteer work count as actual out of school volunteering? or should you do extra on your own if you want out of school hours?

That counts.

I'd also like to mention that I've been the vice president of Key Club for four years now (i r senior), and every college application I've come across does not ask for a specific number of hours of volunteering, just examples of things you've done. Just a good thing to know.

You should check with the teacher or president about it, because technically you can only get hours by working for of non-profit organizations. But different people have different rules, so check with whoever is in charge
