Lead in jewelery can lead to lead
poisoning in children if they put
it in their mouth or swallow it.
If really high levels, it can even
be absorbed through the skin.

If what you are looking at is lead
compliant, then it is probably fine
for you to get it. It contains lead
but not in an amount that could be
harmful.

For more info on lead poisoning
you can have a look here.
