How do people stay dedicated to starving themselves?

im not too possitive, but i guess it might depend on why theyre starving themselves, like if you were to not eat because you thought you were fat, then the person probally reminds themself how fat they are until they just dont wanna eat ever again or something im not really sure sorrry. but i hope that helped a little
