Waxing

Question Posted Friday November 21 2008, 3:35 pm

Hi all,

For a waxing kit, it warns not to use in the vaginal area, but isn't that what the common Brazillian is?

Thanks!

There are special home-waxing kits made for the vaginal area. They are not commonly used because of two major issues:

1. If you are waxing yourself then you cannot pull the skin taut enough to get a good "rip" of the hair out. The angle you are at in relation to your vagina simply will not allow you to get a good, smooth wax the way you'd like.

2. If you get the wax inside your vagina, you'll be very, very unhappy. The wax is known to cause infections--yeast and bacterial. While a yeast infection is just really annoying, a bacterial infection can render you infertile, coupled with life-long physical pain. The angle of yourself to your vagina also makes it very difficult to make sure none of the wax accidentally gets into the vaginal area.

If you want a Brazilian waxing then seek out a salon. They are professionals. They have the right equipment. They can get the right angles. They've waxed A LOT of people so they have the experience that you want when it comes to waxing your vaginal area.

So, in short, yes, you could very well wax yourself with that wax down there but you won't get the results of going to a professional for it and may end up with a nasty infection that you need medical care for. Even the home waxing kits made for the vaginal area runs the risk of both of the listed problems above, so please keep in mind that even if you get the "special" vagina kind, you still have problems.

If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask me! :)

yes thats what it is but there are certain waxes for certain areas of the body, I'm sure you can go to a local waxing place and most likely they will sell something or give you advice about it

You probably got a kit that isn't suitable for that area.
Read the box/instructions first. If it's suitable for that area, it will say.
