So I just don't know if I have gotten OLD or what but this whole new "chatspeak" I've seen online bugs the crap out of me. Is this the new thing to do or what??
Example: Uhhh I dunno. i would. derrr. Jus tell him wat u thinkers.
Ok, so the thing that bugs me is a period after like every other word and derrr and wat instead of what?
forgetregrets answered Saturday November 22 2008, 10:26 am: I am very into chat speak because, since I am a relatively slow typer, chat speaking abbreviates everything for me like BRB [meaning be right back] Chat speak has been around for a while, I assume and although some people take it to an extreme, I am perfectly fine with it as long as I can understand what they're saying. I think chat speak is popular because people want to stand out and start something new like POS [parent over shoulders] [ forgetregrets's advice column | Ask forgetregrets A Question ]

Its been used for years actually
It was mostly used in messangers such as aim, msn, ect ect
But people have taken it out from those and use it around the internet
I guess people think its 'cool'
But I myself do find it annoying
Since you cant control people and tell them how to type, your just gonna have to live with it
Its a pity ]= [ KlutzyKim's advice column | Ask KlutzyKim A Question ]
