Since when are we in a relationship?

There's this guy in my shop named Austin. He's pretty cute and I've been talking to him this past week. He invited me to the movies this weekend the other day and gave me his number. Today when I got home i checked my facebook and it said that Austin put me and him as "in a relationship" and I was supposed to confirm that we were. So, I left it because we aren't in a relationship last time i checked. Im so confused because in person he does not seem like that kind of weirdo person. Does anyone have any ideas as
to why he would put us as "in a relationship?"

You never know - he may have taken the fact you went on a little "date" to the cinema and assumed you were now together.
Or, it could be a hint to let you know that he really likes you...
Or even a silly unfunny joke!
If it's freaked you out a bit, ask him about it. If you're a little nervous about it, ask him in a jokey way and say something like "we're in a relationship on facebook now are we?!" and see what he says.

Yeah that does sound really weird that he would put that! But maybe he got the wrong idea and thought you two were kind of dating since you went to the movies together the other weekend. Some guys I've dated have taken things the wrong way when I just agreed to hang out with them. I would just say "Hey so I see you put us as in a relationship but I was kinda of confused.. I didn't know we were?" It could as be his way of telling you he likes you too. The best way to find out though is to ask!
