I totally agree with what you said about the gases prices going down around election time. I think that that's just plan weird. I think Bush was making money on oil and since he's leaving office, he wanted to cover his tracks.

not quite. it was more a matter of "well if gas prices are low, then maybe people wont be as pissed off at the current administration and be more likely to vote in a republican.
