soreness from braces

i just recently had my braces put back on today is the sixth day ive had them i still cant eat from them being sore suddenly my teeth to line up together which causes some discomfort & my jaws have been sore to the point to where it hurts to open it.. is this common? & what should i do about it?

I had braces myself. Take a couple advil, that'll take away some pain. Eat soft foods too until your teeth no longer hurt. The pain will go away soon, don't worry. Good luck!

Yes, its pretty commen. I never had braces but my little sister has them and she is having all the same problems you are. She is using a product call anbisol, there are diffrent kinds of anbisol so make sure the anbisol you get is the kind that you can put in your mouth and is safe to eat.
