"love" triangle

so 2 weekends ago i was at a party with my best friend "bob" and his close friend "joe." i had liked joe for a really long time but we were never really friends.. we had a few drinks and then hooked up that night but after a while he said that we had to stop because bob, our mutual friend was "in love with me." i didnt believe him at the time but then bob walked in on us and got really upset and mad.
i still hang out with bob, and bob and joe are still friends, but joe hasnt talked to me since. if i see him in the hallway he says "hi" but i think he either feels guilty for hooking up with me, or just regrets it because he was drunk and really doesnt like me.
i really want to talk to him and either be friends or more, but what should i say? it has been almost 2 weeks. he is pretty shy.

just give him time to get over it. He is probably guilty because he knew the other guy likes you. Give him another week and then try to start a conversation with him. Let him know its ok, and there is no need to be awkward.
