My teeth hurt A LOT. Not like, a cavity type hurt, but more like pain/soreness. It helps when I take advil, but what is wrong with me and my teeth???
And please don't just tell me to go to the dentist.
It's likely recession. It's common in adults over 40 and teens who seldom brush or do it incorrectly. It's pretty nasty as it means the tissue around your teeth has died or gone completely away. What happens is that this exposes the roots of your teeth and causes all kinds of abrasions and soreness.
Book an appointment with your dentist and explain to the receptionist what's happening and what you think it may be (gum recession). For now switch your toothpaste as you'll have to do it anyway to Sensodine.

Recently I discovered that I grind my teeth in my sleep. This can cause all of these symptoms. Best bet is to get a mouth guard for when you sleep. Although it is not what you want to hear, you would be best off getting it checked out to make sure that it is the source of these pains. [ labella1400's advice column | Ask labella1400 A Question ]
