Windows Movie Makers?
We've [being me and my friend] are making videos using the video mode on my camera. My camera is a Kodak EasyShare C613, and we don't know how to download the videos to Windows Movie Makers. Also, how do you like get the camera reconized[or whatever its called]. Everytime sonething pops-ups saying that it can't be used, or that my videos are in the wrong place, or idk it just doesn't work. Help! Please!
Also if you know of any FREE video making things that you can download for FREE please tell!

I had that trouble, too. See, the problem is that the video is in the wrong format. I always convert my videos to avi for use on WMM.
This is the free program I use for video conversion...

Download Rad Video Tools, which is the link at the top.
Now, I'll tell you what I know to convert using this program...
Open the program (Listed in my start menu as Bink and Smacker, then select RAD Video Tools.)
Where it says Look In, select the folder that contains the video you want to convert. For example, mine are in My Videos.
From that folder, click on the video you wish to convert.
There are 12 buttons on the bottom... Click Convert A File. Bottom Left.
Now, you come to the next page.
At the top, where it says Output File Info, look to the right of that line for the button that says Output Type.
Click it and select AVI File. (Check every time you convert a video to insure AVI is still selected.)
Now. On the far right, under the Bink icon, click Convert.
Next, a couple of boxes pop up. The top one being Video Compressor. I don't know much about that, so I always choose the automatic choice it gives, which is Full Frames (Uncompressed).
Sometimes, if you took several small clips of video on your Kodak (mine is Easyshare Z650 in case there is a difference in this step...) It will give the option of compressing all of those clips into one video clip. I always do, but that is really up to you.

Figured I better add...
When I hook my camera to my computer via USB cable to move the files, it puts all of them, video included, in Easyshare program. You need to move them. The only way I've figured that out is one at a time. Move them to My Documents, then from there to My Pictures (for pics) My Videos (for vids).
Now, I'm not really tech savvy, so it took me a while to figure out that if I put the memory card into the front of my computer, I can move all of my camera files straight to any computer folder I wish.
My memory card content can always be found under My Computer, H Drive.
