if food takes 24 hrs to get digested then how is the coffee i am drinking this morning gonna affect me right now? or the sugar i eat right now make me hyper? im a little confused.

it takes 24 hours to fully digest, for your large intestine to suck out the nutrients. sugar and caffein are absorbed a lot earlier in the process than that.

food takes 24 hours to be digested, but it takes about 8 hours to get absorbed into your body.

This is why you get sugar rushes, coffee jitters, etc.
