Do you think there's a chance he likes me?
I'm in band, and so is the guy I like; we're in the same section and we're both section leaders so we are around each other a lot. He jokes around a lot with me, and he talks to me a lot. But I don't know if he is interested. He has my number but we don't talk much, we text on occasion, only really if it's about something important. It's hard to tell because he's really outgoing around his friends but I think he might be shy around girls. He's never had a girlfriend, but he's still pretty cute. How would I be able to tell if he likes me back?

Pay attention and see if he acts differently with you then other girls. Some guys are just flirty with all girls. If your talking and having a good time, tell him casually "your so funny, we should hang out some time." or something like that. See if he's into it.

Flirt with him in a very sly way. Act casual about things; treat him like a growing friend. Think of it as getting closer to him friendwise. Don't focus tooo much on it because you'll end up driving yourself nuts with mixed signals and confusion, even from the simplest situation. If he likes you, you will pick up on it naturally.
