Periods after sex

Question Posted Wednesday October 8 2008, 8:50 pm

hii.
Okay, so homecoming weekend i had sex for the first time with my boyfriend. This was the 27th. Then we did it again a week later on oct. 5th. i was pmsing at the time and actually surprised i didn't have my period at the time. exactly 28 days after my last period was the 6th. it's now the 8th. I don't feel like i'm pmsing anymore at all. I talked to my friend and my brother about it (he's one of my good friends) they both said it's normal for your period to be late right after you lose your virginity. There were absolutly no complications with sex at all. we used a condom and it didnt break or anything. it was all fine. but i'm getting really worried. any information you have or advice will be wonderful.
Thank you so much.

Periods can get messed up by all sorts of things (being around other women too often, sex, and of course pregnancy or just because it doesn't feel like coming). I once went ten months without a period... and I hadn't sex in the past year. That's just how it works sometimes.

If it would make you feel better, go buy a pregnancy test, but I'm pretty sure you're okay. ^_^

Calm down. Just relax and it will come to you. Your cycle isn't on the dot all the time (unless you're on the pill).

If there were no complications and the condom didn't break then you are going to be just fine. Wait out the rest of the week and see if it comes by saturday or this sunday. If it doesn't come by monday or tuesday, then go get a pregnancy test.

cheers,
stargirl
