ok so i really want to lose weight. Thi month i am drinking only water and eating no junk food but fruit and vegetables. is there anything else i can do that can speed this process up like exercise or something? but i dont wanna do any strenuous exercise like five miles a day. do you have any ideas thanks!
The only real way to lose weight is to burn off more calories than you eat every day. I think it's something like if you burn off 500 more calories than you eat EVERY DAY you can lose a pound a week. That doesn't sound like much, but taking it slow is much better than crash diets. Obviously, this will be easier if you don't eat junk food and things with lots of fat and calories in it. Eating 1500 calories a day is good for most people, so you's have to burn off 2000 a day. It sounds like a lot, but try to burn off calories after every meal instead of trying to burn off 2000 all at once. Go on a treadmill, walk your dog, go for a bike ride, whatever you can do during the day.
BTW, why do you want to lose weight anyway? I'm not skinny, but I'm average and I like myself the way I am. I don't understand why people are so unhappy with how they look and want to look like the photoshopped pictures of models in magazines. Just learn to like yourself the way you are! Some girls just will never be able to weigh 100 pounds, it has to do with your genetics. If you have health problems from being overweight, then you should try to lose weight to get healthy. But if you want to lose weight just because you don't like how you look, I think that's pointless.

-when you get bored don't sit infront of the computer, go for a walk.
-if you watch TV do jumping jack, sit ups, or push ups during the commercials.
-stand on ur tippy toes while brushing your teeth.
-twitle your thumbs or tap your foot.
-laugh***
-don't ask people to get something for you, do it yourself
-take the stairs
-when your alone in your room, turn on the radio and shake what your mama gave you...and i mean all those crazy moves the world should never see (even if you only dance for 5 minutes, thats something)
-sing in the shower
-when you feel like snacking, but you arn't really hungry, drink a glass of water and go for a walk
-stop eating four hours before you go to sleep
JUST KEEP MOVING
I know it all seems small and unimportant, but little things add up. And the best thing about it is its not hard, these are just small improvements in your life. [ Angelique's advice column | Ask Angelique A Question ]

There are many different gyms out there. It just depends on where you live. Search for a=one that fits what you want to do. Also yoga actually works very well and it keeps you relaxed too. I hope this helps you. =] [ shelbz7077's advice column | Ask shelbz7077 A Question ]
