I'm a female - 18 years old.
I'm not at the moment sexually active. I have a boyfriend and we have sex every once in awhile, but it's been around 4 months since we last did it.
Anyways,
My last period was around 3 weeks ago. Yesterday and today I went ot the bathroom and I noticed a brownish discharge in my underwear. Is this normal?
Last time I got this was awhile ago a few days after my period, and I figured it was just leftover from the period or whatever... but now that it's happening AGAIN.. 3 weeks after my period has already ended... I'm questioning whether or not it's something more.
I always normally get discharge. But it's usually clear/white. I asked the doctor and he said that that's normal for women.
But this time it's brown? Does this mean I'm unhealthy?
I'm very nervous.. could I be diseased? please help!
Additional info, added Wednesday October 8 2008, 6:55 pm: I went to the doctors today, and she said she didn't know what it was but that I should go to a gynocologist.
The thing is though, she mentioned a possibility of a piece of a tampon being stuck in there... and all the leftover blood just becoming backed up. That's kinda scary.. but I was wondering has this ever happened to any of you?
I tried to see if anything was there, but I felt nothing...
I also realized that this brownish discharge comes out of my vagina everytime I go #2 (dunno how else to put it sorry lol)... so I guess as I push it out, it pushes all the backed up blood out?
idk any ideas what this could be?... I plan to go to a gynocologist asap, but I just wanna know your guys' opinions.
