a guy and bestfriend
my bestfriend and her boyfriend just broke up about a month and a half ago
she kinda plays guys. like she will get what she wants out of relationships and then leave me and go with a different guy so i wasnt suprised the breakup happened.
but he was really heartbroken and he gets all depressed and like talks about killing himself and stuff.
but lately we started talking abut and texting and stuff. and im falling for him. i told myself i would never like a guy that went out with my bestfirend becuase thats just wrong and you just cant do that haha
but idk. lately ie been having stronger and stronger feelings for him. we flirt and he calls me babe and baby and stufff. and idk what to do
thers anothe story behind this too. my bestfriend told her parents she was sleeping at my house but really she went and slept at her new mans house and they had sex and stuff. and somehow her ex found out and i guess to like get back at her for stuff he told her parents and now she is is hugeeeeee trouble and is grounded till shes 18 and stuff. so my friend and her ex dont talk anymore and all my friends hated him for that and i was the only one who didnt because yes she is my bestfriend, but the problem is between him and her and its non of my business or problem so i cant hate him for that.
and he asked me out yesterday but i said not right now.
and i know if i do go out with him im gonna get alot of crap for it and i may not have any friends left. i love my friends to death
but im realllyreally crushing on him.

ok ive been in this situation way too many times not to give you the answer ive always stuck with, but theirs a twist which i'll ge tto ina little bit.
first of all, its never ok to go out with someone your best friend liked first. I had a best friend and she went out with one of my exes. I was so hurt by this, becuase i trusted her with everything.
Their have also been other situations where the guy wasnt my ex but i liked him and she knew it and she ended up going out with him which hurts all the same.
Now for the twist..you might call me a hypercrit and depending on how you look at it, you might be right. The thing is this yera i started goign out with one of my friends i consdered my sisters ex.
But the other side to this is that my now boyfriend went out with one of her friends after goign out with her and she didnt seem to care. And also when he broke up with her friend, it was the same day he started dating me so its pretty messed up but if you look at the other side, you can kinda understand.
Wow ok sorry that this is so long but i really can relate to this, so i suppose you could learn from me in a way. But like that other girl said, you have to think of who comes first here and that should be your best friend. Even though she might and probably will forgive you eventually the hurt and memory will always be there.

I'm just going to go with my gut on this and tell you that you knew the answer to this before you put the question out there, right?
So many women have been in this same situation. The fact that she doesn't know how to treat a man is really not the issue.
He was her man and he is off limits. That's just the way it is. He might be the cutest, nicest guy in the world. I'm sure it's probably hard for you to keep pushing him away when you're developing feelings for him.
It's even sadder that he is so hurt that he even talks about hurting himself.
The only thing I would suggest that you can do is to try and be his friend. I think that's fine since everyone has alienated him. Try and keep his spirits, but you can go no further. YOu're just going to have to think of him as the one who got away.
What if it were reversed? Would you be okay with it? I really hope you take this advice.
